About

Global Water Crisis: Communities in all corners of the globe lack sustainable water supplies.  This global water crisis will be amplified by climate change.

The current generation of students will face unprecedented societal challenges. Achieving sustainable water supplies is a critical first step toward climate change adaption and security.

We have hope! Through education and engagement, today’s students will champion sustainable solutions.

Our Solution: We believe every community has engaged students that want to learn and share their experience with peers around the world. Through education and engagement, Students for Sustainable Water (S2H2O) encourages students to champion local sustainable solutions. S2H2O creates a community of students and teachers that share stories about their local water supply challenges and solutions under climate change.

Our Vision

Today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders achieving sustainable water for all.

Talia and Kaia Gurdak

Co-Founders and Directors

Talia and Kaia are inseparable sisters and students at local high schools in Santa Cruz, CA. They have been inspired by their love of the outdoors and natural beauty of the California coast to develop the Students for Sustainable Water platform. Together, they are passionate about making a positive difference in their local community by learning and sharing about solutions for sustainable water under climate change. Talia is active in her leadership club at school, plays soccer, and bass in a rock band. Kaia loves to read, hang-out with friends, and plays competitive soccer. We love to travel and have visited more than 10 countries. Exploring different cultures and natural environments inspired us to make this a global network. We want to learn about water resources and climate change issues from students all over the world.

Join our growing network of engaged students!
